Abdul Razak Amien, Paralegal Student 2002 & Certificate Course Student 2003

I attended the South African Law School in 2002 and graduated with a distinction in Family Court Practise.

In 2003 I returned to the school to do a certificate course in MVA Claims, which I also obtained with distinction.

I attribute my successful career at the Law School to the excellent teaching and motivation offered by the Lecturer, Mr Brett Herron. With his pleasant character he presented his lectures with great clarity coupled with individual attention.

The course material was of high academic standards yet easily comprehensible. The Moot Courts provided me with excellent training and skills.

In 2003 I successfully completed my Practical Legal Training at the Legal Aid Clinic of the University of the Western Cape. The theoretical and practical training that I received at the South African Law School was of great assistance to me whilst I was at the UWC Legal Aid Clinic. Consequently I was awarded the PARALEGAL OF THE YEAR AWARD by UWC at the end of 2003.

This success I attribute to the sound knowledge of Law which I received from the South African Law School. In conclusion my attendance at the Law School was a very happy and memorable experience.
