The South African Law School is an accredited (fully accreditted by SASSETA and ICSA) private provider of legal skills training.

The School’s courses are relevant, accessible and affordable and are aimed at achieving the schools mission – which is to graduate competent and confident learners. The School offers well-developed training programmes in paralegal studies, conveyancing and administration of deceased estates.

Our learners reflect the diversity of this country and are drawn from all communities. The School is also able to offer custom-designed legal skills training for law firms, companies and organizations.



National Certificate: Paralegal Practice

2010 THE NATIONAL CERTIFICATE: PARALEGAL

The qualification is registered on the National Qualifications Framework at level 5 (NQF5). The South African Law School is FULLY accredited by SASSETA to provide training and to assess learners for this qualification. The South African Law School offers a unique programme which includes additional legal content modules in order to ensure that our graduates receive a fully integrated qualification. As far as we are aware we are the only Training Provider that has carefully formulated a comprehensive training programme which combines the qualification’s unit standards with our own additional modules.

CIS Professional Qualification

The CIS course of study prepares candidates for Chartered Secretaryship. It is a tough and rigorous course, in keeping with the intense demands made on the Chartered Secretary in his or her chosen specialised field, whether it be a Company Secretary, Accountant, Accounting Officer, Administrator or Manager.

The South African Law School was established in 1996 and is an accredited training provider specialising in legal education and training.

The School has been accredited by the Institute of Chartered Secretaries & Administrators (ICSA) to provide training for the CIS programme.

The School will offer CIS 1 on a full-time and part-time basis. CIS 2 & 3 will be offered on a part-time basis only

Customised Corporate Training

The South African Law School is able to design and facilitate training according to the requirements of any law firm, company or organisation.

In this regard the School has previously conducted Legal Writing training for various businesses, Debt Collecting training for the employees of the Government of Botswana; and Deceased Estates training for the employees of the Government of Lesotho.
